I first encountered multimedia authoring tools in the early 2000s while working as an editor at a training and development firm. I was fascinated. That set me on a path to leverage technology to enable and open access to education.

I now work to unleash learning opportunities at the intersections of people, processes, and platforms. I have helped organization manage change and grow their digital capabilities by

  • equipping individuals with the tools and skills to enhance and innovate learning
  • developing systems and processes to translate organizational strategy into actionable steps
  • using educational technologies and evidence-based practices to create learning experiences

My Approach

Venn diagram showing intersection of support, design, and innovation communities.

My approach to capability development comprises support mechanisms, design and development of learning solutions, and the creation of innovation communities:

  • Support – The development of training, just-in-time help resources, and in-person and remote helpdesk mechanisms.
  • Design – Intensive instructional design and media creation services in which the designer/design team translates the subject matter expertise into learning resources and experiences.
  • Innovation Communities – Forums and communities of practice to explore new technologies and methods for learning and teaching and to disseminate and promote effective practices.

The artifacts below and in the portfolio section of this site showcase aspects of this approach in action.
